Heart for the City is our church-wide service event happening on October 12th and 13th.
This Fall we will be serving at Austin Street Center, Forerunner Mentoring, Feed My Starving Children, Hope Clinic and a nearby apartment community.
Read below to find out more info on each:
1. Forerunner Mentoring:
Forerunner’s vision is to serve and empower those affected by a father-absent home by building relationships founded on Jesus Christ.
Our Project: Partner with Forerunner Mentoring to throw tailgate party before the Lake Highlands high school football game that allows the kids to have fun, single moms to be encouraged, and bring together diverse people in the Lake Highlands community.
Who is a good fit to serve? This is a good opportunity for families with kids as well as marrieds and singles to serve. Even better if you live in RISD or North Dallas as the event and most of Forerunner’s ministry is in Lake Highlands.
Details: This project is on Friday, Oct. 12th, from 4-8pm. There is opportunity to serve at some or all of the allotted time. We need people to help set up/tear down, grill and supply food as well as relationship builders and face painters. This is a great project for families to participate in. You can register here.
