Our church is not built on the gifting of a few, but the sacrifice of many, as God builds us together. Our church family is carried by volunteers, whom we call Doorholders.
What is a doorholder? A doorholder is someone who has tasted and seen how good the inside is and wants to hold the door open for others to experience the same. In our context, it is someone who has tasted and seen how good Jesus is and wants to hold the door open so to speak for others to come in as well.
There are a variety of opportunities to serve Jesus and be a part of the Doorholder Teams of our church with your talents and resources.
Here is a video from one of our church members talking about how important serving in the church has been to her growth in her faith and in her relationships with others:
Here are areas where you can get involved:

If you are a people person who loves to meet new people, we would love to have you be a part of this team!

It is a plus if you have teaching experience, are a parent or have previous children’s ministry experience, but it is not a requirement!

Description: The deacon team exists as a ministry of mercy and compassion to people in Antioch Community Church Dallas’s congregation (members and attenders) that practical needs might be met and hearts be changed through experiencing the grace of Jesus and the love of the church. If this is something you would be interested in helping out with, we would love to talk with you more.
