In order to be well prepared for ministry to kids, please confirm you’re doing the school as early as possible!

Students will serve in their ministry area every other week at minimum. Most volunteer times take place on Sunday mornings during church services.

  • *Families and individuals with challenging schedules/variables can participate in a modified service track. Please communicate this with the School Staff in needed.

  • Ministry areas include: Worship/Media | Children | Welcome Home | Life Group Leading

LIFE GROUP: Various nights of the week (1-2 hours a week)

  • We highly value community at Antioch, the primary vehicle for facilitating this community is our Life Groups. We ask for all students to be a part of a Life Group where they are giving and receiving as an active part of Christian community. This is very important in helping students be rooted in community and have opportunity to live out the relational values of the Kingdom.

SUNDAY SERVICES: Sunday mornings (1-2 hours a week)

  • Our Sunday morning, church-wide gatherings for worship, prayer, Bible teaching, and fellowship are an integral part to the vision, unity, and mission of our church. We ask students to be active participants in our Sunday services by attending and investing in a SERVE Team.

Students will have the opportunity to see these disciplines modeled and be helped to put them into practice in their everyday world in tangible, doable, and sustainable ways!

  • Building upon the practice of spiritual disciplines learned in the School of Transformation, students in the School of Ministry will be instructed and coached in discovering and activating the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit.

    • Prophetic Activation - learning to hear God’s voice and share prophetic encouragement

    • Gift of Tongues - discovering and activating the various expressions of this gift.

    • Healing the Sick - learning to pray for sick effectively.

    • Words of Knowledge - learning to identify words and impressions from the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that relationships change lives and thus effectiveness in ministry within any context boils down to healthy relationships. In this school you will be equipped with practical Biblical instruction in relational skills, which we refer to as the relational values of the Kingdom. In addition to classroom instruction, there will be time for practice and activation. Relational skills you will learn include:

    • Incarnational Listening

    • Healthy Conflict & Resolution

    • Clarifying Expectations

    • Integrity & Building Trust

    • Honesty In Love

    • Emotionally Healthy Relationships

  • We believe the Scriptures give us freedom/grace in many of these areas where some traditions of men have drawn black and white lines. We do not want to have a legalistic culture, however, in order to maintain a unified, rich environment that will provide the best opportunity for each student to experience the fullness of what God has for them personally and corporately during this school, we feel it is important and wise that we set a community focus and standard in the following areas:

    • Dating – We ask that students not begin new dating relationships during the school

    • Media – Abstain from media that dishonors God or distracts you from receiving God’s best

    • Alcohol/Tobacco – Abide by Biblical guideline. Do not get drunk, do not be addicted, do not cause your brother/sister to stumble, be high above reproach.

We believe God has called us to minister and plant churches in the nations of the earth! Therefore, a huge part of the Antioch Discipleship Schools is the Activation Mission Trip where students get to share the love of Jesus in an international context and see God working around the world. We offer this mission trip after each school semester and ask all students to participate either after School of Transformation or after School of Ministry.
