Sunday Worship Services

Each week we gather as a community on Sunday mornings to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Spirit.

Service Times & Location:

9:15am & 11am - 9461 LBJ Freeway (635 & Abrams)

Liturgy

While this service structure varies a bit season to season, each service typically includes:

A Call To Worship- In the midst of a busy and distracted world, we want to intentionally focus on God as we gather.

Songs of Praise- Singing plays a powerful part in the way Christians have worshiped and been formed over the centuries. Our worship songs are rooted in Scripture, designed for the congregation to sing together and are a blend of well known modern songs, older classics and original songs written from within our church. Check out our Spotify Playlist of Current Songs.

Worship With Our Tithes and Offerings- For those who call Antioch their home church, giving generously to Jesus through the local church with our tithes and offerings is an important part of how we practice the way of Jesus. Each week we take time to worship not just with our words, but with our finances as well. If you are a guest, there is no expectation to give.

Intercession- Jesus said his church would be called a house of prayer for all nations. We take time each week to pray for various topics like our families, classmates, co-workers, those far from God etc. We believe the prayers of the people of Jesus are powerful and effective.

Welcome- This is an opportunity to meet and greet one another. We are a warm and relational community and value this time. Don't worry introverts, it will be over before you know it.

Teaching- Each week we seek to listen to the words of Jesus through the Scripture. Our teaching team works to help all of us to understand, regardless of your religious background, what the Bible is saying and why it matters for our everyday lives.

Communion: We seek to celebrate communion regularly together.

Prayer & Prophetic Ministry- We believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit and each week create intentional space for prayer and prophetic ministry for all who desire it.

Benediction: We are dismissed to go out in the power of the Spirit to be disciples and love our neighbors.

Antioch Kids Ministry

Antioch Kids Ministry meets on Sunday mornings during our worship services and is for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 7th grade. Additionally, because we have many young families in our church, we have a dedicated nursing mothers room as well. You can read more about the kids program here.

Will There Be An Opportunity To Meet People?

We believe that loving Jesus translates directly into loving each other. That is why our services are not just about worshiping through song or listening to preaching. We really value connecting with one another and creating a sense of belonging. With that in mind, we try and create opportunities before, during and after the service for you to meet people in a friendly, low-key, non-stress filled way.

Should I Bring Anything?

Come as you are. If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, don’t worry about it.
