As we continued learning the essential values of an authentic disciple of Jesus, this week we focused on the big idea that Saved People Serve People.
As an action item, if you are interested in joining one of our Serve Teams, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Here are some more pics from Sunday:
On Saturday our Fathered By God class had a retreat:
Matt Reynolds who is on our church's stewardship team trained our School of Transformation students in how to honor Jesus with your finances. The time was deeply impacting and formational! If you are interested in being a part of next semester's School of Transformation be on the look out for registration opening mid-November.
On Sunday we will learn about the next value of an growing disciple of Jesus- The Spirit Filled Life. Services are at 9:30 & 11 and we will be worshipping together and taking communion as well.
Our growth classes are headed into the last few weeks of their courses for the Fall. We will be offering more classes in the Spring as these have definitely been fruitful and well received.
Coming out of our time of prayer and fasting in mid October, as a church we are wanting to gather those interested in growing in and sowing in prayer as we look to fulfill Jesus's call to be a house of prayer for all nations.
If this is you, we invite you to an interest meeting on October 29 from 12:30-1:30 in the Chapel to discuss what this might look like moving forward.
November 4: This Fall we are having monthly service days called Heart for the City or H4TC for short. These planned service days are church-wide events and will be a great place to just come and serve. You don’t need to do anything or bring anything, just show up with a heart to serve and love people like Jesus.
This month we are partnering with Forerunner Mentoring to host a cookout for the kids who are mentored within their program. Forerunner is a Lake Highlands mentorship program that invests time and our energy into young men who don't live with their father. We will be hosting a family cookout to invest in their ministry and the kids in their program. Bring your entire family!
