This Sunday we finished our teaching series called Walking in The Power Of The Spirit. Pastor Joe Ewen was with us teaching. Joe has been with the Antioch movement since its beginning and has pastored an Antioch church in Scotland with his wife Yvonne.

We look forward to being with you at either of our two Sunday morning services! We will be hearing some inspiring testimonies from our school of transformation students and focusing in on the next core value in our Saturate series: Transformed People Transform Cities.

House of Prayer Interest Meeting: As a community we are looking at ways we can grow in prayer in 2018. A group of folks interested in developing the house of prayer met after the service on Sunday and we are excited to see what percolates out of that meeting in 2018!

Heart For The City - November 4: This Fall we are having monthly service days called Heart for the City or H4TC for short. These planned service days are church-wide events and will be a great place to just come and serve. You don’t need to do anything or bring anything, just show up with a heart to serve and love people like Jesus.

This month we are partnering with Forerunner Mentoring to host a cookout for the kids who are mentored within their program. Forerunner is a Lake Highlands mentorship program that invests time and our energy into young men who don't live with their father. We will be hosting a family cookout to invest in their ministry and the kids in their program. Bring your entire family!

Matt Reynolds who is on our church's stewardship team trained our School of Transformation students in how to honor Jesus with your finances. The time was deeply impacting and formational! If you are interested in being a part of next semester's School of Transformation be on the look out for registration opening mid-November.

On Sunday we will learn about the next value of an growing disciple of Jesus- The Spirit Filled Life. Services are at 9:30 & 11 and we will be worshipping together and taking communion as well. 

Our growth classes are headed into the last few weeks of their courses for the Fall. We will be offering more classes in the Spring as these have definitely been fruitful and well received.

Coming out of our time of prayer and fasting in mid October, as a church we are wanting to gather those interested in growing in and sowing in prayer as we look to fulfill Jesus's call to be a house of prayer for all nations. 

If this is you, we invite you to an interest meeting on October 29 from 12:30-1:30 in the Chapel to discuss what this might look like moving forward.

Church-wide time of Fasting and Prayer: As a community we engaged in a time of prayer and fasting from Monday, October 8 - Wednesday,  October 11. The 3 days concluded with a time of worship and prayer as a community.

We continued our study on Sunday in our Saturate series. This weeks topic was on the way discipleship to Jesus shapes the way we view and use our resources. 

The teachings so far in the series are:

1. Jesus is our Treasure

3. We Are Better Together

4. We Are Blessed to Be A Blessing

Training LifeGroup Leaders - On Sunday afternoon we trained 21 new LifeGroup leaders and are excited to invest and equip new leaders to help saturate Dallas with the goodness of the Gospel of Jesus!

Meet The Toneys! As you might know, Sky and Amy Toney are members of our church who are launching out to plant a church in Brussels, Belgium. After the second service they will be having an interest meeting for anyone interested in praying, giving or going as they launch this new church.

Each semester we take time to pray over new babies and commit them to Jesus and His ways. This is a powerful act for parents and for our church community. This Fall we will have Baby Dedications on November 5th in the 9:30am service.

Sunday Gathering: This week in our Sunday worship service, our lead pastor Zach Daniel continue our study called Saturate. This week we will be looking at Jesus ministry of building community and how that marks our lives and mission as his followers.  We will be worshipping, praying, taking communion and believing the Lord to move in a powerful way in our midst. Antioch Kids Ministry will be happening in both services!

Church Wide Time of Fasting & Prayer

October 9-11, Worship & Prayer Oct 11 from 6:30-8pm: One of the callings that Jesus put on his church was that we were to be a house of prayer. This is an area we are growing in as a community, and next week from Oct 9-11 we will be taking time as a church to fast and pray for a fresh move of God in our lives, city, and nation. On October the 11th we are inviting the whole church- kids and adults to come together for a time of prayer from 6:30-8pm.

Filled Worship Night- October 15th 5-7PM @ Antioch

This summer we studied as a church what it meant to be filled with the Holy Spirit. On Sunday, October 15th we are putting feet to that teaching by creating more space for worship, prayer and impartation from 5-7pm. We call these nights Filled. The one we did in September was so rich. You can bring your kids, but childcare is not provided.

This wee we facilitated our first Heart For The City event of the Fall by serving at Austin Street Center. It was a great opportunity to partner with a fantastic organization in loving and serving those experiencing homelessness in our city.

Whether you are a mature Christian or just starting out, courses are practical way to engage in growing in your faith, experience the transforming power of the Gospel, and be equipped to walk with Jesus in the everyday stuff of life. 

Courses are themed around a variety of topics, led by trusted teachers and normally run between 3-8 weeks.

These service days are great opportunities for us to love others that may not know Jesus, grow in serving like Jesus, and also to bring kids along to disciple them and model for them what serving like Jesus looks like..

This Sunday we'll be serving the people of Dallas who are homeless at Austin Street Center. Children Kindergarten and up are encouraged to come with parents! Register here.

We also had a volunteer team go down to Houston to help people rebuild after Hurricane Harvey, and we did our first Filled worship night on Sunday evening. It was so rich! The next worship night is on October 15th!

Parent Orientation- Monday, September 18th

Antioch Kids Ministry invites you to our fall orientation for parents of kids ages 0-6th grade who will be participating in the ministry this fall.

You will get an opportunity to hear from our kids ministry directors Ellen and Kristina about the ministry this fall, ways we will be investing in your kids and ways we can partner together in seeing your kids grow!

The orientation will run from 6:30pm-7:30pm

Heart For The City- September: 

This Fall we are having monthly service days called Heart for the City or H4TC for short :-) These planned service days are church-wide events and will be a great place to just come and serve, you don’t need to do anything or bring anything, just show up with a heart to serve and love people like Jesus.

These service days are great opportunities for us to love others that may not know Jesus, grow in serving like Jesus, and also to bring kids along to disciple them and model for them what serving like Jesus looks like..

This month we'll be serving the people of Dallas who are homeless at Austin Street Center. Children Kindergarten and up are encouraged to come with parents! Register here.

2. School of Transformation (Above): Our semester long School of Transformation had their opening retreat. We have 19 students going through the school this fall and are excited to see the way God works in their lives.

This Week:

1. Community & Identity by Jeremy West, join us for week two of our Power of Community Series. Jeremy West, one of our pastors, will be teaching about how community nurtures us in our identity. We will be worshipping, praying, learning together at 9:30 and 11 am. Antioch Kids will be ministering in both services. 

2. Hurricane Harvey Relief: We are working to serve Hurricane Harvey victims by partnering with our sister church Antioch Houston. If you are interested in giving to help the rebuilding process, you can do so here. If you are interested in serving this weekend in helping clear and clean houses in Houston, fill out this info form

3. Filled Worship Night: Sunday September 10 - 5pm - 7pm:

Ephesians 5.18 calls us to, "be filled with the Spirit." This summer we did a teaching series on being filled with the Holy Spirit in an environment of praise and worship. Our Filled Worship Night is a way to put experience to that teaching. We will facilitate a time of extended worship, prayer and impartation. Come hungry and expectant. Kids are welcome, but kids ministry is not provided during this time.

2. Antioch Kid's Parent Orientation Night! Monday Night, September 18th, 6:30pm-7:30pm. We are inviting all parents & kids to come and connect with our Antioch Kid's Team and hear vision about what God is doing in Antioch Kid's ministry this year! Kid's are welcome, event is come and go, refreshments will be provided!

3. Open House: If you are new to Antioch, we would love to invite you to our Open House lunch on October 1 from 12:30 - 1:30. Come eat some great (free) food right after the second service, meet some great people and learn more about being a part of the church. You can register here.
